Serving Adult & Adolescent Residents of California via Telehealth
Amy Tierney is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Sexual Assault Victim Counselor. She specializes in the treatment of anxiety, depression, addiction, relationship difficulties, trauma/PTSD, sexual abuse, and eating disorders.
Having worked in several Level I trauma centers throughout Southern California, Amy also specializes in working with physicians, nurses, and ancillary healthcare professionals experiencing compassion fatigue and vicarious traumatization.
While Amy’s approach to treatment is grounded in psychoanalytic theory, she draws from a wide variety of treatment modalities based on individual client needs. Some of these modalities include Interpersonal Neurobiology, Psychodynamic Psychotherapy, Inner Child Work, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Somatic Therapy, and Mindfulness-Based Interventions.
Amy believes the therapeutic relationship is the single most important aspect in a client’s therapeutic process. She has a profound respect for, and commitment to, the development of a safe, nonjudgemental space where her clients find the freedom to heal.
